Chatica Yellow Potato - Papa Criolla - or ' papa amarilla' means "native potato".
These beautiful potatoes grow in the north part of South America, particularly in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. They are deliciously baked, boiled or deep-fried. You can also make salads with them.
Papas Amarillas (Yellow Potatoes) have, as the name suggests, yellow or butter colour flesh. When cooked Papas Amarillas get very soft and grainy. They are also great for making a creamy and fluffy mashed potatoes.
