Peruvian (choclo desgranado) giant kernel corn is very large compared to other corn and not very sweet. It’s simply boiled and used as a side dish.
Also known as corn, Choclo is an annual grass plant native to America introduced in Europe in the sixteenth century. Really common to use in typical dishes as Ceviche, Anticuchos and BBQ.
Try it in a shelled state and enjoy it as a side dish.
